About the Author
William R. Mott, Ph.D. is a speaker, author, teacher, consultant and leader in the independent school and nonprofit world. Bill has held numerous leadership positions in both independent schools and nonprofit organizations. Additionally, he has served as a trustee for several schools and nonprofit boards. Bill earned his Ph.D. in educational leadership from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College and serves on the faculty of the Peabody Leadership Institute for Independent Schools. He consults with schools and nonprofit organizations and conducts retreats, workshops and seminars on a range of governance issues. In addition, he speaks at many conferences across the country.
